PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team closed out Ivy League action on Sunday afternoon, dominating Princeton inside The Palestra 31-7.
 
Max Gallagher (125), Ryan Miller (133), CJ Composto (141), Cross Wasilewski (149), Jude Swisher (157), Nick Incontrera (174), Maximus Hale (184), and John Pardo (285) won their bouts against the Tigers to account for Penn's 31 points in the win.
 
Quaker Notemeal
*The Quakers honored the class of 2025 before the meet, celebrating Jackson Dean, Richard Delsanter, Hale, Incontrera, Josh Labarbera, Vincent Mannella, Miller, and Cole Spencer.
 
*#23 Gallagher, #11 Composto, and #16 Wasilewski finished Ivy League duals with a perfect record, going 5-0.
 
*Freshman Wasilewski edged out a top 25 opponent in the battle, taking the bout with #12 Ty Whalen in sudden victory.
 
How It Happened
The Red and Blue dominated the outing from the start, with sophomore Gallagher starting the meet off with an 8-3 win over Eligh Rivera, followed by Miller recording a 16-3 major decision over Dan Jones.
 
Junior Composto recorded the first tech fall in the dual, beating Drew Heethuis 16-1. The most exciting battle came from Wasilewski's overtime win. Sophomore Swisher kept the Quakers' streak alive during the 157 dual, silencing Christopher Martino 17-1.
 
Princeton won its first battle in the meet at 165, cutting Penn's lead to 23-2, but seniors Incontrera and Hale answered with wins over Xavier Giles (23-1) and #29 Kole Mulhauser (4-3). The Tigers won their last match at 197, but it was far too late for a comeback as freshman Pardo recorded a major decision over Sebastian Garibaldi, 12-2, to push the meet to its final tally of 31-7.
