Wrestling Closes Out Home Action Against #23 Lehigh (Thur), Princeton (Sun)

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team closes out action in The Palestra this weekend, hosting #23 Lehigh on Thursday and Princeton for a Senior Day battle on Sunday.

*The Quakers are coming off their first loss since January 10, falling to their first Ivy League opponent this past Sunday, dropping a 26-10 contest at #9 Cornell. 
 
*Max Gallagher (125), CJ Composto (141), and Cross Wasilewski won their bouts against the Big Red to account for Penn's ten points in the meet while shifting to 4-0 in individual Ivy League battles.
 
*Senior Composto and freshman Wasilewski's victories against Cornell marked top-20 dual wins for the Red and Blue.
 
*Seven Quakers landed in the first round of the NCAA Division I coaches rankings, with Nick Incontrera leading the charge at #6. #10 Composto, #16 Wasilewski, #16 Jude Swisher (157), #18 Maximus Hale (184), #19 Ryan Miller (133), and #23 Gallagher round out the Red and Blue in the rankings.
 
*Before the battle with the Tigers on Sunday, Penn will celebrate the class of 2025, honoring Jackson Dean, Richard Delsanter, Hale, Incontrera, Josh Labarbera, Vincent Mannella, Miller, and Cole Spencer.
 
*Penn will face a stacked lineup in University City. The Mountain Hawks bring five ranked wrestlers to The Palestra, led by #6 Michael Beard (197) and #6 Owen Trephan (285). #14 Sheldon Seymour (125), #24 Logan Rozynski (157), and #26 Malyke Hines (149) even out Lehigh's presence in the rankings.
