PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania men's basketball team closes out non-conference play by hosting a New Year's Eve matinee against NJIT. The Quakers and Highlanders will tip off at 2 p.m. in the final game of the calendar year, as the Red and Blue conclude preparations for their Ivy League opener at Princeton next Monday.

The Series with NJIT
*The Quakers and Highlanders will meet for the sixth time in men's basketball wheyn they tip off on Wednesday, with Penn having won each of the first five meetings.
*Wednesday will be the Highlanders' third trip to The Palestra and their first since 2014.
*Penn is 15-2 all-time against programs that currently compete in the America East Conference, the losses coming to UAlbany and the wins coming over NJIT (5), UMBC (4), Binghamton (3), New Hampshire (2), and Maine (1).
*Penn is playing on New Year's Eve for the first time since 2018, when the Quakers fell 76-74 in overtime to Monmouth at The Palestra. Overall, the Red and Blue have played 12 NYE games since the first one way back in 1904, going 5-7.

Levine—who scored a career-high 11 points Sunday at George Mason—also is second among Ivy players in assist/turnover ratio (2.67) and has 20 assists and just five turnovers across Penn's last four contests.

Power; that is second among Ivy players, behind only Dartmouth's Brandon Day-Mitchell (8.6).
Junior Augie Gerhart is fifth among Ivy players in the category (6.0 rpg).
