Michael Zanoni led the Red and Blue with 11 points and
Niklas Polonowski finished the day with 10 points.
*The Quakers are 100-120 all-time against current Atlantic 10 programs, with wins over the A-10's Philadelphia teams (Saint Joseph's and La Salle) already this season.
Ringing It In
Penn will host NJIT on New Year's Eve day, hosting the Highlanders at 2 p.m. at The Palestra. The Quakers will be playing on New Year's Eve for the first time since 2018, when they fell 76-74 in overtime to Monmouth at The Palestra. Overall, the Red and Blue have played 12 NYE games since the first one way back in 1904, going 5-7 in those contests.
Penn MBB by the Numbers
1.000 - Freshman
Dalton Scantlebury's field-goal percentage in Penn's Cathedral Classic win against Merrimack on November 28 (10-10);
he is tied for third among Ivy League players so far this season in overall field-goal percentage (33-55, .600).
2.00 - Penn's assist/turnover ratio in its most recent win, December 8 over Lafayette (18/9); overall this season, the Quakers' 1.27 ratio is third among Ivy League teams.
2 - Starting lineups so far this season for Penn; the Quakers had gone with the same starting five in each of their first nine games before having to deviate due to injury.
2.73 • Offensive rebounds per game averaged by
Scantlebury; that is second in the Ivy League (behind only Brown's N'famara Dabo's 2.83 orpg) and 111th nationally.
Scantlebury is also third among Ivy players in blocked shots per game (1.27).
3 • Double-doubles for junior
TJ Power this season, the most recent coming last Saturday (12/20) when he dropped 19 points and 13 rebounds at Rutgers.
3 • Penn players who have been named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week this season:
Michael Zanoni (11/17),
Ethan Roberts (11/24), and
Power (12/1).
In addition, Scantlebury is already a two-time Rookie of the Week honoree from both the Ivy League and the Big 5.
3.9 • Assists per game averaged by sophomore
AJ Levine; that is third among Ivy League players behind Brown's Jeremiah Jenkins (4.9 apg) and Yale's Will Townsend (4.7).
Levine —who set a career high with eight assists against Lafayette—also is third among Ivy players in assist/turnover ratio (43/18, 2.39).
6 • Different players who have led Penn in scoring in a game this season (see page 13 for the breakdown).

15 • Points scored by
Gerhart in Penn's win over Lafayette, a career high for the junior; all of them came in the first half.
16.3 • Points-per-game average for
Power in Penn's ten Division I games this season; he has hit double figures in all ten after opening the season with six points against D3 Rowan.
