The Penn vs. Temple Series
*The Quakers hold a commanding lead in the all-time series with the Owls, heading into Tuesday's match with a 25-7-8 record.
 
*When these teams met last year at Rhodes Field, Penn shut Temple out 4-0 carried by braces from Patrick Cayelli and Stas Korzeniowski offensively and a three-save performance from Phillip Falcon III defensively.
 
Quaker Notemeal
*The Red and Blue won their first Ivy League contest this past Saturday night, blanking Harvard 2-0 in University City.
 
*Malachi Neal headed in the game-winner off a corner kick from senior Cayelli in the 17th minute. Cayelli netted Penn's other goal to post a three-point outing in the victory.
 
*Cayelli is having a dominant senior season, leading Penn in goals (4), assists (6) and points (14). The midfielder is first among the Ivies in goals, assists, shots on goal (13), and points.
 
*Romeo Dahlen co-leads not only Quakers but also the Ivy League with four goals, tallying two braces against Loyola Maryland and Villanova.
 
*Keeper Falcon looks to build off his stellar sophomore season, being named a USC Goalkeeper to Watch during the preseason. Falcon holds a 0.50 goals-against average and 0.833 save percentage heading into the week.
 
*Penn returns a stacked lineup to the pitch this year including, 2024 All-Ivy honorees Cayelli, Connor Dawson,  Falcon and Jack-Ryan Jeremiah, along with two other starters in Oliver Pratt and Erickson Sakalosky.
 
*Midfielder Jeremiah is turning heads entering his junior year, earning spots on the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Midfielder to Watch and the Hermann Trophy Watch List. Jeremiah recorded 12 points in 2024, including four goals against William & Mary, Manhattan, and nationally ranked Hofstra, as well as in the Ivy League semifinals against Brown.
 
*The Red and Blue earned the top spot in the Ivy League men's soccer preseason poll for the third straight year, grabbing 120 points and ten first place votes.
 
Scouting the Owls
*Temple brings a three-game skid into Tuesday's match, falling 3-1 to FIU this past Friday.
 
*Paolo Kampula leads the Owls' offense with two goals and four points.
 
*The Quakers will likely face Diego Dauzier in goal this week. The keeper has 26 saves, a 1.71 goals-against average, and a 0.684 save percentage on the season.
