How it Happened
The Bears came out with a fury to start this one and never looked back. At the third minute, Brown had an opportunity with a good cross towards the middle of the box. The Bears would whiff on the attempt, putting senior goaltender Annabel Austen in an awkward position. Freshman forward Jael-Marie Guy would put a shot on following the miss in the middle, but Austen made a fantastic effort to save a would-be goal and keep the Bears out of the scoring column.

The Bears put eight shots and three shots on goal in the first ten minutes, highlighting what was a dominant start to the match. However, Annabel Austen showed just why she was First Team All-Ivy last season, matching Brown every step of the way with three saves in that span. Things would settle down following the opening fifteen.

At the 25th minute, Brown would get another opportunity after a bit of downtime from both sides. Sophomore defender Kyra Treanor took the ball up the far sideline and delivered a low crossing pass to junior forward Corine Gregory, who came flashing in to deliver a one-timer to Austen's opposite side for the match's first goal.

Following the goal, the Quakers would find their footing a bit, producing some offensive pressure and drawing a corner kick. The corner would find a couple headers from the Quakers but would ultimately be cleared out.

The Quakers would get their first shot of the game at the 31st minute, when sophomore Lily White sent a rocket toward the goal following a free kick. The shot would be shut down at the doorstep as senior goalkeeper Bella Schopp made a nice save.

Following a first half which saw the Bears outshoot the Quakers 13-2 (6-1 shots on goal), the second half opened far more even, with most of the beginning of the second frame being played between the boxes.

At the 54th minute, Austen attempted to play the ball near the edge of the box before turning it over. The turnover allowed freshman Guy to find the back of the net for the second goal of the match.

Not too long afterward, at the 55th minute, Brown would be granted a penalty kick following a foul in the box. Junior forward Joy Okonye would sink the kick to quickly put the Bears up three.

Lastly, at the 87th minute, Brown would find one more score to secure a 4-0 victory. The Quakers will look to move past the defeat when they host NJIT on Wednesday at Rhodes Field.
