CAMBRIDGE, MASS. – The University of Pennsylvania field hockey team dropped to 4-4 on the season after losing to #4 Harvard, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon.

Penn fell to 1-2 in conference play, while Harvard ascended to 3-0 against Ivy League opponents.

How it Happened
Philine Klas got things started for the Quakers, scoring her second goal of the season less than two minutes into the game.

Harvard responded with a goal from Bronte-May Brough to tie the game at one a piece at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter was all Harvard as Sage Piekarski scored two goals and Lara Beekhuis added another to extend the lead to three goals.

Harvard led 7-5 in shots at the half, all seven on goal, as the Crimson led 4-1 at half.

Ruby de Frees recorded three saves heading into the halftime locker room, doing all she could against Harvard's high powered offense.

Emily Bronckers added to the Crimson lead in the third quarter as Harvard recorded nine shots, to Penn's zero in the period.

Harvard added their sixth and final goal in the fourth quarter as they went on to win their ninth game of the season, still undefeated.

Penn dropped to 4-4 on the season and 1-2 in Ivy League play.
