How it Happened
The game began with both teams setting the tone defensively, not allowing the other to get on the scoreboard.

The Quakers attempted to take an early lead but Yale goalie Amelie Schwarzkopf saved two shots from Julia Ryan and Livia Loozen.

Yale unsuccessfully attempted a pair of shots in the second quarter, desperately trying to add a point on the scoreboard.

Both teams entered halftime without a goal and were dead even in shots, 2-2.

Both offenses continued their slow starts in the beginning of the third quarter until Yale's Poppy Beales scored her twelfth goal of the year.

The Bulldogs had the first lead of the game entering the final period of play as the Quakers began to run out of time.

Head Coach Scott Tupper made a crucial decision to take goalie Ruby de Frees out of the game in order to add another player on offense.

With under five minutes remaining, Livia Loozen found Honor Roberts in the circle as she tied the game at 1-1.

The Quakers found themselves in their first overtime game this season.

Both teams fought back and forth in the overtime period until Yale's Hettie Whittington delivered the final blow off a penalty shot.
