PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania fencing programs open the 2025-26 season this weekend, heading across Philly for the Temple Open Oct. 25-26.

*On the women's side
Polina Kharchyna landed silver in epee in her collegiate debut, while
Katina Proestakis Ortiz claimed a tied for third in foil.
*Sophomore Jin, senior Kushkov, and junior N. Wu will serve as captains for the men's team, while junior Blum,
Malak Hamza, and
Grace Hu will be the leaders for the women's team.
*The women welcome newcomers in
