Fencing Picks Up Five Wins on First Day of Elite Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The University of Pennsylvania fencing programs wrapped up the first day of the Elite Invitational hosted by Ohio State on Saturday night.
 
Penn picked up five wins on the first day of the Elite Invite, with the men winning three battles while the women grabbed a pair of victories.
 
The men topped Air Force (14-13), Wayne State (20-7), and Cleveland State (26-1), while the women beat Air Force (24-3) and Cleveland State (22-5) to complete the first day of action in the Buckeye State.

The Quakers finish the Elite Invitational on Sunday, Nov. 9, at Ohio State. First bout is scheduled for 8 a.m. in the French Field House.
