REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team finished eighth out of 12 teams at the University of Delaware's Lady Blue Hen Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole tournament concluded Sunday on the par-72 course at Rehoboth Beach Country Club.

Penn shot 301-295-300 across the weekend to finish the event at 32-over-par 896. Host Delaware was the team champion, finishing the weekend at 11-over-par 875 which was eight shots ahead of second-place Georgetown (883, +19). Dartmouth and Harvard tied for third, both at 887 (+23), while Yale tied for fifth (890, +26).
Individually, junior
Maggie Ni was Penn's low scorer as she shot 73-70-77 for the weekend to finish at 4-over-par 220. That left her tied for seventh in a field of 69 golfers. Of note, the junior was third in the field with 41 pars. Sophomore
Claire Lu, playing the tournament as an individual, carded a 7-over-par 223 for the weekend and tied for 18th, while freshmen
Adrienne Ahn-Upton (224, +8) and
Mi Li (225, +9) were right behind her.
Junior
Madeleine Zang shot 13-over-par 229, followed closely by senior
Bridget O'Keefe who was in the field as an individual (230, +14). Senior
Julie Shin scored in two rounds and finished at 18-over-par 234.
Harvard's Vanessa Zhang was the individual medalist, as she shot 67-72-71 to finish at 6-under-par 210. She was the only player to finish the tournament under par, as Delaware's Rhianna Gooneratne was second at 1-over-par 217.

Penn will close out the fall portion of its season next Saturday and Sunday at the Lehigh Invitational, a 36-hole event.
