How It Happened
Junior Johnson tried to get something going on Penn's first possession, rushing through three Army linebackers to get as far as the logo, but the drive stalled, and Ezra Granet was forced to punt. Army responded quickly on its first drive, as Carson McFadden caught a 55-yard touchdown to put the Black Knights ahead 7-0 with 8:26 left in the first. The momentum continued when, on Army's third possession, West threw a 70-yard pass to increase the lead to 14-0 by the end of the quarter.

Army kept up the pressure to start the second quarter, scoring its third touchdown just eight seconds in to make it 21-0. The Black Knights added their fourth touchdown at 12:39, extending the lead to 28. Both defenses held for the remainder of the half, leaving the score unchanged at the break. Sophomore Cross led the defense with a team-high six stops in the first 30 minutes.

Army maintained control in the second half, taking time off the clock before kicking a field goal at 8:25 in the third to push the lead to 31. After stopping the Quakers on their next drive, the Black Knights scored again on their second possession, leading 38-0 heading into the final quarter.

Both teams were held off the board in the fourth with Army forcing a fumble to secure the 38-0 win.
