HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team completed its Empire State sweep on Sunday afternoon, topping Hofstra 39-7 in the David S. Mack Physical Education Center.

How It Happened
The Quakers dominated the match from start to finish, winning the first five matches off of wins from sophomore Gallagher's pin over Dylan Acevedo (6:38), Miller's tech fall over Liardi (17-2), Composto's tech fall over Justin Hoyle (18-1), Wasilewski's pin over Noah Tapia (4:37), and #16 Swisher's major decision over Jurius Clark (17-3) to lead 26-0.
Hofstra finally got on the board off the 165 bout to cut the lead to 26-4, but #6 Incontrera and #18 Hale won back-to-back bouts to push Penn's lead to 34-4. The Pride won their final match at 197 off a sudden victory decision that slashed the deficit to 34-7, but freshman Pardo prevailed, winning his bout over Danny Church by tech fall (20-4) to secure the win for the Quakers.
