How It Happened
Penn set the tone in the first quarter, recording four shots while Yale had none. To end the quarter, Freedman made a beautiful pass to Loozen in the circle, who dumped it off to Ryan for the goal. Yale responded late in the second quarter. After a string of penalty corners, the Bulldogs converted one with three minutes left. Keely Comizio ripped it to Beales for the score.

It was a defensive affair in the second half, as the Quakers had a player advantage for 15 minutes when Yale's Chiara Picciafuoco picked up two separate yellow cards. Still, the game remained 1-1 after 60 minutes.

In overtime with less players on the field, Beales slipped past the Quaker defense, Picciafuoco found Beales who one-timed it for the victory.
