The Penn vs. Mansfield Series
*The Quakers hold a strong advantage in the series, leading 12-1.
*The last time these teams met in 2022, Mansfield left Franklin Field with a 27-24 win, its only victory in the series.
*The Red and Blue are 6-1 all-time in University City against the Mountaineers.

*Penn opened the 2024 season with a dominant 24-0 road win over STAC last Saturday.
*Quarterback
Michael Malone and kicker
Adrian Montemayor landed CSFL weekly awards on Monday. Malone earned Rookie of the Week, while Montemayor collected Special Teams Player of the Week.
*Malone was an offensive force in his collegiate debut against the Spartans, scoring all three of the Quakers' touchdowns in the victory. The freshman gave it his all, completing 7-12 passes for 120 yards while rushing for 53 yards off 11 attempts.
*Montemayor picked up where he left off last season, going 3-3 in extra-point kicks and 1-1 in field goals against STAC. The senior did it all, punting three times for 96 yards and nailing five kickoffs for 256 yards while also tallying six stops on the defensive end of the field.
*Sophomore
JT Goodman leads the offense in rushing yards (66), while senior
Kyle Zeitlian has caught a Quaker-leading 51 reception yards.
*Defensive back
Josh Johnson is tied for third in the CSFL in punt return yards (20).
*Junior
Ryan Horvath led a stout defense against the Spartans, tallying a team-high seven tackles.
Scouting the Mountaineers
*Mansfield fell in its season opener last weekend, dropping a 31-26 contest to Navy.
*Cahsid Raymond was all over the field last week, rushing for 182 yards on 15 carries, including a 99-yard rushing touchdown. He had five receptions for 41 yards and tossed a 15-yard touchdown pass.
*Marcus Quaker was 11 for 19 with 116 yards and an interception, to go along with 58 yards on the ground and a score.
*Jackson Taylor had 13 tackles to lead the Mounties defense, and Brax Byrd had an interception.
