PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania field hockey team will travel to Yale on Friday in search of its first Ivy League win before coming home to play Patriot League powerhouse, American, on Sunday.

Penn vs. Yale
The Quakers and Bulldogs have played each other 46 times since 1977 with Penn leading the all-time series 30-14-2. Penn has won eight of the previous 10 meetings. In last year's matchup, the Quakers came back in the fourth quarter to win 3-2 at home.
Allison Kuzyk scored two goals and
Lis Zandbergen recorded her first goal of the season.
Penn vs. American
Penn and American have only played twice all-time with both contests taking place in Washington, D.C. The Eagles won the first game in 2011 and the Quakers won a 3-2 overtime thriller in 2017. In that contest, Alexa Hoover scored twice, including the game-winner, and Gina Guccione added another goal.
Quaker Notemeal

Julia Ryan ranks fourth in the Ivy League in points with seven. She has recorded a point in five of the last six contests and is one away from tying her 2023 season total.

Ruby de Frees has three games with seven-plus saves and her 30 saves are third in the conference.

Darcey Chapman recorded her first collegiate start vs Drexel.
Scouting the Bulldogs
Yale enters Friday's contest with a 4-2 record, most recently falling to No. 14 UConn on the road.
The Bulldogs are led by senior Ellie Barlow. Barlow is tied for the most points (11) and goals (4) in the Ivy League. She has three games with three-plus points this season.
Alongside Barlow is Poppy Beales. Beales, a 2023 First Team All-Ivy selection, has racked up three goals on the season.
Scouting Eagles
American, the reigning Patriot League champions, are 3-5 on the season. They fell to Delaware at home in their last game.
Jordan Reicher has exploded for the Eagles this season. After recording just two points in 2023, the sophomore forward leads the Patriot League and ranks top 20 in Division I with 14 points. Heading into her last game, she had a five-game goal-scoring streak.
Goalkeeper Bryn Underwood has been a force in the cage with a 1.41 goals-against average and two shutouts.
