 How It Happened
The Quakers put their foot on the gas for the entire match. In the first six minutes of play White and Capdevila were putting heat on Temple's defense. White got a pass from Maltby while making a move on Temple's keeper, making her fall to the ground and securing what would prove to be the winning goal.
Eight minutes later, the fans got to witness an nice outlet pass from White to Zulli on the left side of the field. She then fed a nice pass to Capdevila on the inside for the Quakers' second goal.
Zulli took a shot that hit the top of the post. The shot was recovered by
Leah Finkelman who then threaded the needle with Chapel who noticed Bynoe was out of position and knocked in the third goal of the game.
The Quakers were still working with three minutes left on the clock and continued to keep fighting. The initial corner kick from
Kat Peroulas led to an assist from Lusher on the Cook goal.
Temple had one shot on goal in the match, from Phoebe Wallace, but
Annabel Austen was able to shut it down.
