PHILADELPHIA – All three of the University of Pennsylvania rowing programs will be represented at the Under-23 World Rowing Championships this summer. The Championships are running from August 18-25 in Saint Catharines, Ontario (Canada).

HEAVYWEIGHT: A trio of rising seniors will take the stroke (
Sam Sullivan), 7 (
Jason Kennedy) and 6 (
Matt Davis) seats in the U.S. Men's U23 Eight boat while another rising senior,
Charles Jones, will row bow in the U.S. Men's U23 quad scull.
LIGHTWEIGHT: Rising seniors
Harrison Azrak and
George Drago will row the lightweight men's pair for the U.S.; they are being coached by Penn heavyweight assistant coach
Fergal Barry.
WOMEN: Recent graduate
Amelia Demopoulos will stroke the U.S. women's U23 quad sculls while rising junior
Emma Gray will represent South Africa in the pair.
