PHILADELPHIA – It all comes down to this. The University of Pennsylvania men's lightweight crew heads to West Windsor, N.J. this weekend for Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) National Championships, which closes out an impressive 2023-24 season for the Quakers. For the third straight year, the three-day weekend full of racing gets underway Friday and runs through Sunday on Mercer Lake.
Penn will row two Eights and a Four this weekend. The Eights will row in heats on Friday morning, while the Four competes in a time trial to qualify for an afternoon semifinal. The Four finals will take place on Saturday, while the Eights finals will occur on Sunday.
