PHILADELPHIA – Two more track & field program relay records were broken this afternoon—one of the men's side, one on the women's—and
James Rhoads won Penn's first men's pole vault championship since 1958 to close out the final day of the Penn Relays at Franklin Field.

The quartet of
Jocelyn Niemiec,
Aliya Garozzo,
Christiana Nwachuku and
Isabella Whittaker broke the program and Ivy League records in the 4x400 Championship of America relay, taking third behind Houston (3:27.32) and Texas A&M (3:29.27).
On the men's side, the 4x800 relay team of
Denis Gallagher,
Edwin Klanke,
Holden Emery, and
Titus Bretzke was seventh in the Championship of America final but clocked 7:22.08, breaking the previous mark of 7:22.71 that was set a year ago.
The women almost had a second record fall on Saturday, as the 4x800 relay team of
Lily Orr,
Bronwyn Patterson,
Camille Jordan and
Chloe Hassman clocked 8:36.04 in finishing sixth in their Championship of America race. That is third on the program's top 10 list.
Penn went 1-2 in the college men's pole vault championship on Saturday, junior
James Rhoads winning with a height of 5.36 meters (17 feet 7 inches) and senior
Scott Toney taking second at 5.26 meters (17 feet 3 inches). Rhoads is the 12th Penn pole vaulter to win a Penn Relays title but the first since John Gray shared first place with Michigan's Mamon Gibson and Ohio State's Stanley Lyons all the way back in 1958.
