Last Time Out
Penn split a pair of matches last weekend, shutting Cornell out 4-0 on Friday and narrowly falling at #44 Columbia on Sunday, 4-3. Eileen Wang secured the win over the Big Red in the singles round, topping the Big Red's Jenny Wong. The Quakers opened the outing strong, with Sabine Rutlauka and Wang silencing Lauren Stein and Wong, 6-1. Maya Urata and Esha Velaga edged out Michelle Ryndin and Alexandra Savu 6-4 to clinch the doubles point. Rutlauka and Urata won their matches in straight sets to get the score to 3-0, before Wang rallied back from a first-set loss to win her match. In Sunday's close contest with the #44 Lions, Columbia won the doubles point and that proved to be the difference as Rutlauka, Urata, and Velaga won their singles matches.

Penn in the Rankings
The Quakers landed 72nd in the latest ITA women's tennis rankings announced early this week. Penn is one of five Ivies represented in the rankings, with Harvard (39), Columbia (43), Yale (49), and Princeton (50) also landing a spot in the top 75.

Double(s) Trouble
Freshman Velaga and junior Wang sit at 59th the ITA doubles rankings earlier this week. The duo carries a 4-3 spring record into the pair of Ivy matches this weekend.
