PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania men's lacrosse team returns to Franklin Field on Saturday, March 30, to host #7 Cornell for a battle of the unbeaten Ivies at 1 p.m.

Last Time Out
*A four-goal third quarter pushed Penn to 2-0 in Ivy League play last weekend after topping Dartmouth 11-8 in a snowy road game.

Tynan Walsh was an offensive terror once again, recording five points in the victory, including four goals.

Leading the Ivies
*Senior
Emmet Carroll currently leads all Ivy League goalkeepers in saves per game, totaling 142 saves on the season and averaging 14.2 per game. The Rye, N.Y. native is also second among goalkeepers in save percentage (.589) and goals-against-average (9.94).
*Junior Walsh sits in the top ten of multiple offensive stats, holding sixth in assists per game (1.56), eighth in points per game (3.78) and tenth in assists per game (2.22).
*FOGO Ethan Constanzo and defender Lavelle cracked the top ten in the conference in ground balls per game. Sophomore Costanzo sits ninth in the standings (3.33), while Lavelle holds tenth (3.30).
*Lavelle also helps lead the conference in caused turnovers, forcing opponents to cause 1.2 per game.
Ivy League DPOTW
*Defenseman Blake landed Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, announced on Monday afternoon.
*Blake was a force on the field last week, causing four turnovers and totaling eight ground balls against Saint Joseph's and Dartmouth.
*In the Quakers' 11-8 road win in Hanover, the senior caused a team-high three turnovers to help hold Dartmouth to a single-digit goal total and lead the Red and Blue to a 2-0 Ivy record.
The Series with Cornell
*The Big Red owns the all-time advantage in the series, leading 47-19, while also holding the latest win from last year.
The last time Cornell came to University City, the Quakers handled business at Franklin Field off a 15-11 victory.
*The Red and Blue are tied at five wins each in the last ten matchups heading into this weekend's battle of the undefeated Ivies.

*The Quakers fell 18-12 to the then top five Big Red when these teams met during the 2023 campaign.

Sam Handley led the offense with a trio of goals and an assist to tally four points in the contest. Walsh,
James Shipley, and
Hugh Mullane each scored a pair for Penn to even out the scoring.
* Blake clamped down on defense with a team-leading three caused turnovers, while Lavelle scooped up a team-high six ground balls.
Scouting the Big Red
*Cornell is bringing back-to-back Ivy League wins into Saturday's contest. The Big most recently edged then #9 Yale out 18-15.
*The reigning Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week, CJ Kirst, leads the Big Red in goals (23) and caused turnovers (9). Michael Long has tallied a team-high 36 points and 21 assists.
*On the other end of the field, Wyatt Knust and Matthew Tully have spent time in the cage. Knust has saved 49 of 130 shots faced so far this season, while Tully has stopped 40 of 147 attempts on him.
