PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team will close out its home schedule this weekend with back-to-back games against Dartmouth and Harvard in a traditional Ivy League weekend.
Both of this weekend's games are the front end of a women's/men's doubleheader at The Palestra. On Friday, the Quakers and Big Green will tip off at 5 p.m., followed by the Penn men hosting Cornell at approximately 8 p.m. On Saturday, the Quakers and Crimson get things started at 4 p.m. followed by the men hosting Columbia at approximately 7 p.m.
Prior to Saturday's game with the Crimson, the team will honor seniors

Floor Toonders and Kayla Douglas (student manager) ahead of their final home game wearing the Red and Blue.

The Ivy Tournament Update
Penn is tied with Brown for fourth place in the Ivy standings, both at 5-6, with Yale a game behind at 4-7. (The Quakers split their season series with both teams.) The Bears will host Ivy co-leader Columbia (10-1 record) and Cornell (1-10) on Friday and Saturday, while the Bulldogs reverse that and host the Big Red Friday and the Lions Saturday. Brown and Yale will then meet next Saturday in Providence, while Penn plays at Ivy co-leader Princeton (10-1).
The Dartmouth Series
*Friday's game against the Big Green marks the 89th in program history, as the Quakers hold a narrow 45-43 lead in the all-time series.
*Penn has won 23 of the last 24 games against the Big Green and is currently riding a 17-game win streak in the series.
*The Quakers are 25-18 at home in the series and haven't lost a game against Dartmouth in The Palestra since the 2010 season.
*The series dates to 1979, when Dartmouth claimed a 71-57 victory over the Quakers.
Last Time We Met
*After an 18-8 third quarter, the Quakers cruised past the Big Green 53-39 in the first matchup in Hanover.
*Junior
Stina Almqvist had a double-double in the game, putting up 15 points on 7-for-16 shooting and grabbing 13 rebounds
*Senior
Jordan Obi also had a double-double as she notched 11 points and 10 boards.
*Freshman
Mataya Gayle flirted with a triple-double as she finished with eight points, seven rebounds, and a game-high seven assists. She also added a pair of steals.

Lizzy Groetsch filled the stat sheet as well with nine points, two rebounds, two assists, a steal, and a rebound.
The Harvard Series
*Saturday's game against the Crimson marks the 93rd meeting, the Crimson holding a 55-37 lead over the Quakers in the all-time series.
*The two programs have been going back and forth in recent years, as the last ten matchups are evened out at five wins apiece.
*The Red and Blue are 23-22 all-time at The Palestra against the Crimson, moving above .500 last season with a 70-64 win here in Philadelphia.
*Penn's longest winning streak of nine games ended 2018, as the Quakers were dominant against the Crimson for a majority of the 2010s.
Last Time We Met
*Earlier this season, Penn fell to Harvard 69-56 in Cambridge.
*Gayle led the Quakers in scoring with 19 points on 50-percent shooting, while also snagging seven rebounds and dishing out a team-high three assists.
*Obi had another double-double, with 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Penn's Last Time Out
*The Quakers won a crucial game in Ithaca last weekend, taking down Cornell 61-54. The Quakers were down eight in the fourth quarter but scored a staggering 22 points in the final 5:38 of game time and outscored the Big Red 22-7 to keep their Ivy Tournament hopes alive.
*Obi led all scorers with 18 points on 7-for-15 shooting and pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.
*Almqvist had a balanced stat sheet with 15 points, six rebounds, and a career-high four blocks.
*Gayle continued her outstanding freshman season with another double-digit scoring performance, putting up 12 points and dishing out a game-high five assists.
