BALTIMORE, Md. – The University of Pennsylvania wrestling team won its first dual of the 2024-25 season on Sunday afternoon, topping Morgan State on the road 34-6.
 
Brady Pruett (125), #28 Ryan Miller (133), Evan Mougalian (141), #13 Cross Wasilewski (149), Jackson Dean (157), Reed Fullmer (165), #6 Nick Incontrera (174), and Josh Labarbera (197) edged out their opponents to tally Penn's 34 points in the first dual victory of the campaign.

*Dean, Fullmer, Labarbera, and Pruett won their first collegiate duals against the Bears.
 
*The win marks the 249th dual victory of head coach Roger Reina's career at Penn.
 
*Senior Incontrera stayed undefeated on the season, moving to 6-0 off his decision over Darrien Roberts.
 
How It Happened
The Quakers led the battle from the very start as junior Pruett won his first dual wearing the Red and Blue by tech fall over Julian Dawson, 19-1. Senior Miller kept the streak going during his first start of the season, also winning by tech fall over Shawn Ryncarz, 17-2.
 
Sophomore Mougalian won his second straight dual to bump Penn's lead to 15-0 off a tech fall over Myrin Nixon, 16-1. Sophomore Wasilewski followed with the sole major decision bout of the meet, topping Yannis Charles,15-3.
 
Senior Dean made some noise in his first collegiate start, beating Eric Tecson by decision, 6-3. Morgan State forfeited the 165 bout to give freshman Fullmer his first dual win.
 
Penn's final two wins of the day came from #6 Incontrera, who breezed through his match with Roberts (5-0) before senior Labarbera grabbed his first dual off an 8-1 decision over Cameron Johnson.
