Penn Athletics Announces Partnership with Skinletics to Enhance Student-Athlete Wellness and Recovery

PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania's Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics (Penn Athletics) is proud to announce a new partnership with Skinletics, a leader in collegiate athletic wellness, centered in red-light therapy and soon to be announced products that will support both performance and recovery. Together, Penn and Skinletics are advancing the health and wellness of Quaker student-athletes by providing access to cutting-edge recovery solutions and wellness resources that empower athletes to take charge of their recovery.

"Student-athlete well-being and recovery are important priorities for Penn Athletics in ensuring a first-class experience and competitive success," said Alanna Wren, the University's T. Gibbs Kane, Jr. W'69 Director of Athletics and Recreation. "We are excited to partner with Skinletics to continue to support our student-athletes to be their best on and off the field."

The centerpiece of this partnership, which was secured by JMI Sports, includes Skinletics supporting Penn Athletics' newly dedicated recovery zone, equipped with Skinletics' recovery lounger, redlight LED yoga mats, and red and near-infrared body patches. This space represents just one element of a broader initiative to provide athletes with the tools and support they need to reach their full potential. The Skinletics recovery lounger that was installed in early October, is the first of its kind on a college campus in the US.

"We are proud to partner with Penn Athletics, an institution known for its commitment to both academic and athletic excellence," said Denise van Gulik, Founder of Skinletics. "Together, we're creating spaces that prioritize the holistic health, wellness and recovery of Quaker student-athletes, allowing them to train harder and recover smarter."
