PHILADELPHIA – Freshman forward
Katie Collins of the University of Pennsylvania women's basketball team was named co-Ivy League Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
This is Collins' third Ivy Rookie of the Week honor of the season after she helped Penn complete a 3-0 week including two victories at the FGCU Homewood Suites Classic in Fort Myers, Fla.
This week, she shares the honor with Brown's Gia Powell.
Collins averaged 6.0 points per game and 7.0 rebounds per game in three starts for the Quakers, helping the team score its most points in program history (114) against Immaculata on Tuesday night before defeating 2024 NCAA Tournament teams Chattanooga on Friday and Cal Baptist on Saturday.
She had eight rebounds and four assists vs. the Mighty Macs on Tuesday night. Collins finished with seven points, six boards, three assists, and two blocks in the win over the Mocs on Friday before registering seven points, seven rebounds, three assists, a block, and a steal to defeat the Lancers in the finale on Saturday.

Stina Almqvist was tabbed to the Ivy League's weekly honor roll.
The Quakers have won three straight games for the second time this season and head into Friday afternoon's Toyota Women's Big 5 Classic at Villanova with a 6-3 overall record. Penn takes on La Salle in the Fifth-Place Game at 3:30 p.m. from Finneran Pavilion. The game will be broadcast regionally through NBC Sports Philadelphia Plus.
