PHILADELPHIA- PHILADELPHIA- The Ivy League announced the postseason honors for women's soccer on Wednesday afternoon, as the University of Pennsylvania landed two Quakers on All-Ivy Teams, with junior goalkeeper
Annabel Austen being named First Team and Academic All-Ivy and senior defender
Maya Leschly named to the Second Team.
After missing all of last season, Austen started as the keeper for the Red and Blue, playing in all 16 matches and earning three Defensive Player of the Week honors. The junior has the most saves in the Ivy League, with 74 on the season and 4.63 saves a match. She played every minute for the Quakers and has the most minutes in the Ivy, clocking in 1,440 minutes between the pipes. Austen also earned Academic-All Ivy for the first time.
Last season, Leschly earned Academic-All Ivy and now adds Second Team to the resume. The senior captain was the backbone of the Quaker defense, deflecting and blocking shots all season long. Leschly played in all 16 matches and has the most minutes outside any goalkeeper, with 1,426 on the season.
