Dawson Lands First Ivy League Weekly Award

PHILADELPHIA – The Ivy League released its men's soccer weekly award on Monday afternoon, with Connor Dawson of the nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team landing Defensive Player of the Week.

Defender Dawson won the first weekly award of his collegiate career after leading #19 Penn to a 1-0 victory over Yale this past Saturday. Not only did the sophomore score the match-winner in the 58th minute, but he also helped lead a backline that held the Bulldogs to only three shots on goal.

The Quakers clinched a piece of the Ivy League regular-season title for the third straight season and moved to 6-0 in conference play from the win.

Dawson and the rest of the Red and Blue close out the regular season on Saturday, heading to Princeton to fight for the number one seed in the 2024 Ivy League Tournament. Kickoff with the Tigers is slated for 2 p.m.
