PHILADELPHIA – The Ivy League has announced its All-Ivy teams for the 2024 volleyball season, and the University of Pennsylvania had two players earn honorable mention recognition: sophomore outside hitter
Zada Sanger and freshman middle
Adell Murray.

Sanger led Penn with 260 kills, averaging 3.17 kills/set which was sixth among Ivy League players, and she also finished the regular season eighth among Ivy players in points/set (3.54). Sanger reached double figures in kills 13 times during the season including eight times in Ivy League play. Her best performances came against Rhode Island (22 kills, the most by a Penn player in more than two years) and the season finale at Dartmouth (20 kills, .340 hitting percentage). Sanger also had 35.0 blocks (8s/27a), 43 digs and nine service aces on the season.
Murray, meanwhile, was third on the team with 209 kills but led the Quakers in hitting percentage, finishing at .341 (209K-54E-455A) which also was sixth among Ivy League players. She also led the Red and Blue with 54.0 blocks (6s/48a) and had 26 digs and four service aces. Murray reached double figures in kills six times on the season, with five of them coming in Ivy League play including each of the last four matches of the season. She also earned all-tournament at the Red Flash Classic hosted by Saint Francis (Pa.) and the Penn Invitational and was a one-time Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
In addition, junior
Abigail Reid received Academic All-Ivy recognition. A former honorable mention All-Ivy honoree, she finished second on the team with 174 digs this season.
Penn finished the season at 13-10 overall and 7-7 in Ivy League play, more than tripling their win totals from 2023 both overall and in Ivy play.
