Four From Volleyball Named Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators

PHILADELPHIA – College Sports Communicators has announced its Academic All-District recipients for the 2025 volleyball season and Penn was honored with the maximum four recipients in junior Zada Sanger and sophomores Jenna Garner, Emery Moore, and Ellie Siskin.
 
One of the most stringent academic programs in college sports, a student-athlete must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or greater in order to be nominated for Academic All-District. In volleyball, they must have competed in 90 percent of their institution's matches that season or started in at least 66 percent of the matches. Institutions are limited to four nominations in volleyball.

Some notes on Penn's 2025 CSC Academic All-District recipients:
 
#2 Jenna Garner (So., Pasadena, Calif.)
*Played in all 24 matches and 89 of 90 sets on the season
*Second on the team in overall kills (238), third in Ivy play (132)
*Second on the team in digs, both overall (274) and in Ivy play (164)
*Second on the team in overall service aces (24), tied for the team lead in Ivy play (17)
*Finished the season with 18 blocks (1s/17a), 14 of them in Ivy play (1s/13a)
*Led Penn with nine kill/dig double-doubles, including five in a row to end the season
*Finished one kill or one dig shy of a double-double on four other occasions
*AMONG IVY PLAYERS (all): eighth in digs/set (3.08)

*Setter played in 87 of 90 sets, playing 23 of 24 matches with 22 starts
*Led Penn with 717 assists (8.24 a/s)
*Third on the team with 236 digs and added nine blocks (1s/8a), 14 aces and 40 kills
*Had a double-figure dig total in 12 different matches
*AMONG IVY PLAYERS (all): fourth in assists/set (8.24), tenth in digs/set (2.71)
*AMONG IVY PLAYERS (Ivy): fourth in assists/set (8.18), ninth in digs/set (2.91)
*Dished out 51 assists, added 17 digs and five kills (.455) in four-set Ivy win over Dartmouth (11/14)

*Led Penn with 282 kills overall and 172 in Ivy League play
*Also recorded 32.0 blocks (4s/28a), fourth on the team, as well as 66 digs and five service aces
*AMONG IVY PLAYERS (all): fourth in kills/set (3.32), eighth in points/set (3.59)
*AMONG IVY PLAYERS (Ivy): seventh in kills/set (3.25)
*Finished with a double-digit kill total in 18 matches including 12 in a row from September 12 to October 17
*Named Tournament MVP at Delaware Invitational after a combined 26 kills and .523 hitting percentage against the Blue Hens (9/19) and Saint Peter's (9/20)
*Had a double-double in Ivy five-setter with Brown (10/4), with 15 kills and 13 digs
*Put down 21 kills, hitting .367, and added three digs and two block assists in Ivy win over Dartmouth (11/14)
*Followed up with 17 kills (.400) and two digs in season finale against Harvard (11/15)
*In first meeting with the Big Green (10/11), finished with 17 kills, two digs and three block assists

*Fifth on the team with 120 digs overall including 68 in league play
*Hit double digits 11 times in kills, twice in digs, and posted two double-doubles
*Ivy double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs at Cornell (11/7)
*Went for 10 kills and season-high 13 in three-set sweep of Lafayette (9/13)
*The previous night, put down 16 kills and added four block assists and two digs at Coppin State (9/12)
