*Penn had a strong season opening last weekend at the Journeymen Collegiate Classic, as 21 Quakers landed in the top six of their weights.
 
*Nick Incontrera led the charge, winning the 174A bracket at Journeymen to bring home the first hammer award of his career.
 
*Ryan Miller and Reed Fullmer also placed first, with Miller winning at 133B and Fullmer 165E.
 
*Fullmer, Xander Kuokkanen (174), Paul Ognissanti (157), John Pardo (285), Denzel Perez (197), Nate Taylor (184), and Cross Wasilewski (149) made their collegiate debuts last Sunday.
 
*Six Quakers are ranked in the FloWrestling and Intermat top 35 of their weight classes, with senior Incontrera leading the charge as the #7 wrestler at 174. #13 Wasilewski, #15 CJ Composto (141), #17 Max Gallagher (125), #19 Jude Swisher (157), and #28 Miller even out Penn's presence in the rankings.
 
*The matchup with Northern Colorado on Saturday will be the first in program history.
 
*The Bears have four grapplers ranked in the Intermat top 30 heading into this weekend's battle, led by the #1 ranked wrestler in the country at 141, Andrew Alirez. #16 Vince Zerban (157), #22 Dominick Serrano (133), and #30 Clayton Ulrey (165) round put Northern Colorado's spots in the polls.
