#20 Men’s Soccer Hosts Dartmouth for Senior Day Showdown on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team returns to Rhodes Field for the final time in the regular season on Saturday for a Senior Day showdown with Dartmouth at 7 p.m.

The Penn vs. Dartmouth Series
*The all-time series between these teams is fairly close, with the Quakers holding a 32-29-8 advantage.
 
*Dartmouth owns the latest win in the series, handing Penn a 2-0 loss in Hanover last year, the Quakers' only Ivy loss of 2023.
 
*The Red and Blue are 18-13-5 all-time in University City against Dartmouth.
 
Quaker Notemeal
*Penn fell a bit in this week's NCAA men's soccer rankings, dropping to #20 after splitting last week's competition on the road.
 
*The Quakers stayed undefeated in Ivy League play last weekend, completing a 3-2 comeback over #16 Cornell on Sunday to move to 4-0 in conference action.
 
*Brandon Curran led the charge against the Big Red, scoring the match-winner in the 82nd minute to lift the Red and Blue to victory in Ithaca. Connor Dawson and Stas Korzeniowski also hit the back of the net in the battle, with Dawson's goal being the first of his career and Korzeniowski's his 30th.
 
*The Red and Blue sit at the top of the Ivy League standings with a 4-0 record and 12 points. Penn could clinch a spot in the 2024 Ivy League tournament, depending on the outcome of Saturday's matches.
 
*Forward Korzeniowski places second in the Ivy League for shots (53), shots on goal (27), goals (10) and points (22). The Senior also sits first in the conference for game-winning goals (4). 
 
*Junior Patrick Cayelli holds fourth in the Ivy League for assists (8) and ninth in points (12). 
 
*Goalkeeper Phillip Falcon III leads the conference in saves (32), shutouts per game (7), and goals-against-average (.692). 
 
*Falcon and defender Leo Burney clocked in all 13 matches, playing the full 1,170 minutes.
 
*The Quakers will celebrate Senior Day pre-match, with Burney, Curran, Ben Do, Charlie Gaffney, Korzeniowski, Aaron Messer, and Mathis Varin playing in their last regular season match at Rhodes Field.

*The Big Green currently sits third in the Ivy League standings with a 2-1-1 conference record.
 
*Dartmouth brings a 4-0 win over Yale into this weekend's contest.
 
*Trenton Blake leads the Big Green's offense in assists (4), goals (6), and points (16).
