Rowing Programs Shipping Up to Boston For Head of the Charles

PHILADELPHIA – Fresh off a strong showing at the Navy Day Regatta last Sunday, the University of Pennsylvania rowing programs are back in action when all three participate in arguably the highlight of the fall racing season, the Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. The three-day, head-style racing event begins Friday and culminates on Sunday.

The men's heavyweights will row three boats this weekend, with a Club Eight entry on Saturday afternoon and then entries in the Championship Fours and the Championship Eights on Sunday.

The men's lightweights will race four boats on Sunday afternoon, two each in the Fours and the Eights. In both cases those divisions will be right on the heels of the Men's Championships Fours and Eights.

The women, meanwhile, will put one boat on the water this weekend, the Club Fours on Saturday afternoon.
