PHILADELPHIA – USRowing has announced the athletes who have been selected from its 2026 Selection Camp I, and the list includes recent University of Pennsylvania graduate
Sam Sullivan.

Selection Camp I occurred from January 25 to February 8 at Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla. The list includes eight Olympians and 15 members of last year's world championships squad.
Sullivan and the other selected athletes will compete at World Cup II and World Cup III, along with the winners of the National Selection Regatta in May
. World Cup II is scheduled to run June 12-14 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria while World Cup III will take place two weeks later, from June 26-28 in Lucerne, Switzerland.
Sullivan graduated from Penn in May as a three-time first-team All-America selection by the Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA), rowing the stroke seat for Penn's Varsity Eight his last two years. Internationally, Sullivan won gold with the United States Men's Four at the 2025 World Rowing U23 Championships and silver as stroke of the U.S. Men's Eight at the 2024 Championships. USRowing named him its U23 National Team Male Athlete of the Year in between his junior and senior years at Penn.
