GOLD RIVER, Calif. – The University of Pennsylvania heavyweight crews wrapped up competition at the IRA National Championships Regatta, with the 1V8 placing first in their petite final and the 3V8 crew claiming second in theirs.
 
The 1V8 crew finished off the IRA's as well as they could have, placing first in the petite final with a time of 5:44.343. The 3V8 crew placed second in their petite final, clocking a 5:54.644.
 
The 2V8 crew placed fourth in their petite final, finishing with a 5:54.200.
 
The conclusion of the IRA's marks the end of the 2026 season for heavyweight rowing. At IRA's the heavyweight crew placed tenth out of 24 squads with 201 points, wrapping up what has been a great year for Penn's heavyweights.
