PHILADELPHIA – The new year can't come soon enough! James H. Greene, Jr. Head Coach Mike Murphy of the University of Pennsylvania men's lacrosse team announced the program's 2025 schedule on Wednesday afternoon.
 
"We are excited about our 2025 schedule," exclaimed Murphy. "Six of our opponents played in the NCAA tournament in 2024, 11 of the 14 have participated in the NCAAs this decade, and six of these programs have National Championship pedigrees.  Our competitive goals are very high, and this schedule will allow us to measure ourselves against the best.  We are very much looking forward to the 2025 campaign."
 
The 14-game regular season schedule is highlighted by seven matchups at Franklin Field, including four Ivy League battles.
 
The 2025 campaign opens at Georgetown on Saturday, Feb. 15, with the home opener coming three days later against UAlbany (Feb. 18). The Red and Blue are then on the road for three in a row, starting with Delaware (Feb. 22) and ending with a weekend trip to the Research Triangle to face Duke (Feb. 28) and North Carolina (March 2).
 
Following the trip to Tobacco Road, the Quakers open a four-game homestand on Saturday, March 8, with a Philly 4 battle against Villanova, then hosting Brown (March 15), Saint Joseph's (Mar. 18), and Dartmouth (March 22).
 
The Red and Blue head to Ithaca to close out the month of March for a matchup with Cornell (Mar. 29) before returning to University City to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the program with a game against Yale (April 5).
 
The Quakers finish Ivy League action with a pair of matches at Harvard (April 12) before welcoming back program Alumni for a Senior and Alumni Day showdown against Princeton (April 19). The 2025 regular season closes on Friday, April 25, traveling to Notre Dame for a matchup with the reigning NCAA national champions.
 
The top team in the conference will host the Ivy League Championship in May, with the Quakers hoping to host in Philadelphia. The semifinals are slated for May 2, with the final on May 4.
