ITA Regional to Feature All-Penn Singles Final and Quakers in Doubles Final

PHILADEPHIA- The University of Pennsylvania women tennis team made it to the NCAA Championships.

Sabine Rutlauka and Esha Velaga were able to take down Columbia's Malak El Allama and Gayathri Krishnan in singles today to advance and play each other in the final round of the ITA Regionals.

Rutlauka defeated El Allama 6-1,6-1 to advance to the final round. Velaga had a comeback performance to best Krishnan 1-6.7-5,7-6 with a tie breaker set 7-2. The final match of the ITA Regionals will take place tomorrow starring the Quakers very own.

Rutlauka will also compete in doubles alongside Eileen Wang to play Penn State's Maiko Uchijima and Olivia Dorner. In the semifinal round, the senior duo defeated Navya Vadlamudi and Greta Schieroni 6-2,6-2.
