PHILADELPHIA – After a stellar outing in last week's sweep at Rhodes Field,
Stas Korzeniowski of the #18 University of Pennsylvania men's soccer team earned an Ivy League weekly honor announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.
Forward Korzeniowski earned his first Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week nod after tallying seven points, including three goals, in wins over #21 Hofstra and Brown last week.
In Penn's ranked 3-1 victory over the Pride, Korzeniowski was all over the field, nailing the match-winning penalty kick in the 61st minute and assisting sophomore
Jack-Ryan Jeremiah's security goal during the 81st minute.
In last Saturday's Ivy League outing against Brown, senior Korzeniowski tallied his second brace of the year to push the Quakers to a 2-0 shutout over the Bears and an undefeated 3-0 conference record.
Korzeniowski and the rest of the Red and Blue close out non-conference play on Tuesday, heading to Monmouth for a 7 p.m. midweek matchup.
