PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania sprint football team returns to the gridiron this weekend, heading to Ithaca on Saturday to take on Ivy League foe Cornell at 4 p.m.

The Penn vs. Cornell Series
*The Quakers command this series 18-7. Since 2013, Penn has won all ten contests, outscoring the Big Red 343-102.
*Penn's largest margin of win came from a 63-0 shutout win at Franklin Field during the 2021 campaign.
*In last year's battle, the Red and Blue won 21-9 in University City as
JT Goodman rushed 26 times for 76 yards and acclimated two touchdowns for the Quakers.
Quaker Notemeal
*Penn looks to continue its win streak after opening the season with a 24-0 road win at STAC and a 24-13 Franklin Field victory against Mansfield.
*Quarterback
Michael Malone (passing) and sophomore Goodman (rushing) both sit in the top 10 for the CFSL. Senior
Adrian Montemayor is second in the CFSL for field goals with two.
*Freshman Malone leads the team in touchdowns with three rushing scores against STAC. Goodman follows with two on this season against Mansfield.
*
Jake Wang leads the receiving pack with 93 yards and a touchdown this season.
*On the defensive end of the field,
Ryan Horvath and Montemayor lead the defense with 11 tackles each, while senior
Cam Janock has tallied two sacks for 13 yards.
Scouting the Big Red
*Cornell looks to get back in the win column after at Navy (49-0) and Chestnut Hill (27-9) in the past two weeks.
*Quarterback Max Spero had one passing and two rushing touchdowns on the season for the Big Red. In the first three games, Spero collected 357 passing yards and five interceptions.
*Kevin Lopez spearheads the receiving team with 104 yards and a touchdown this season.
*Alexei DiDonato leads the Big Red defense with 20 tackles, including 14 solo stops, 3.5 tackles for a loss of 27 yards, and two sacks for a loss of 2.1 yards.
