The Penn vs. Brown Series
*The Bears hold an advantage in the all-time series, leading 33-28-11 while also owning the latest win.

*Both meetings between these teams ended in draws last year, with the regular season battle ending in a 0-0 tie while the semifinal round of the inaugural Ivy League tournament resulted in a 2-2 draw that Brown grabbed in penalty kicks.

*Penn's last win in the series dates back to the 2022 season when the Red and Blue shut the Bears out 1-0 in University City off a goal from Stas Korzeniowski.

Quaker Notemeal
*The Quakers jumped up to #18 in this week's NCAA men's soccer rankings announced on Tuesday before the battle with Hofstra.

*Penn is coming off a huge 3-1 non-conference win over #21 Hofstra earlier this week. Senior Korzeniowski scored the match-winning penalty kick to lift the Red and Blue to its second ranked win of the year.

*Senior Leo Burney and sophomore Jack-Ryan Jeremiah netted the Quakers' two other goals against the Pride. Goalkeeper Phillip Falcon III saved three of four shots faced on the defensive end of the field in the win.

*Korzeniowski moved into third all-time in program history points with 70 after nailing the PK against the Pride on Tuesday night.

*James C. Gentle Head Men's Soccer Coach Brian Gill is three wins from 50 as a head coach with the Quakers. Gill's 50th win would make him the fifth coach in program history to hit the milestone.

*Goalkeeper Falcon is a force in the league, leading the conference in shutouts per game (6), save percentage (.793), and goals-against average (.600).

*Forward Korzeniowski leads the Ivies in game-winning goals, netting a conference-high three on the season. The senior also sits second in shots (53), goals (7), shots on goal (2.30) and points (16).

*Junior Patrick Cayelli has been dishing out goals left and right this season, assisting six tallies so far this year to lead the Ivy League in assists.

*Falcon and defender Burney have had a strong presence in all ten matches, playing the full 900 minutes.

*The Quakers sit tied for first with Princeton in the Ivy League standings with undefeated 2-0 records.

*Penn landed the top spot in the 2024 Ivy League men's soccer preseason poll announced back in August. The Quakers earned the favored spot with 115 points and seven first-place votes after ending last season as the Ivy League regular season champions with a 4-1-2 league record.

Scouting the Bears
*Brown carries a 2-1 road win over Holy Cross into Saturday's contest.

*The Bears are still looking for their first Ivy League victory after falling to Dartmouth (2-1) and Princeton (2-1) to start conference play.

*Lorenzo Amaral leads Brown's offense with four goals and 11 points in seven games.

*The Quakers will likely face Henrik Weiper in the net this weekend. The goalkeeper holds a .729 save percentage and 1.46 GAA heading into the Ivy League bout.
