The Series with Dartmouth
*Saturday's meeting between the Quakers and the Big Green is the 224th in the series, with Penn leading 158-65.

*The teams have split each of the last three seasons, the home team winning in all six games. Prior to that, Penn swept the season series in 2017-18 and 2018-19.

*Dartmouth won last year's meeting in Hanover, 75-71, despite Nick Spinoso scoring what remains his career high (22 points). In the rematch in Philadelphia, the Quakers pulled out an 89-79 victory.

Preseason Picks
In the Ivy League's preseason media poll, released on October 17, Penn was picked to finish fifth in the league while Dartmouth was picked seventh. The poll featured two media members from each of the eight schools, so 16 votes in total.

Home Sweet Home
Penn is back at home for the first time in nearly a month, the last home game coming on December 11 when the Quakers defeated Howard, 78-68. Since then, Penn has an overtime win at Rider (12/23) and losses to a pair of ranked teams on their home courts, at #3 Houston (12/30) and #25 Auburn (1/2).

Ivy Schedule Changes
The Ivy League has undergone some schedule changes from the last two years...

*Penn will face Cornell, not its travel partner Princeton, on MLK Day which is next Monday.

*The schedule is back loaded to include four "Ivy weekends" over a five-week span in February and March. As a result, Penn will play just four league games in the month of January this season.

*Balance continues to be an issue: Penn opens Ivy play at home on Saturday and will close it with three straight Ivy League home games in March. In between, the Quakers will play seven of 10 games on the road from January 15 to February 24.

Penn MBB by the Numbers
2 - Penn players with a double-double this season: junior Nick Spinoso (11 pts/11 rbs at UMES, 19/11 at Rider) and freshman Tyler Perkins (24 pts/11 rbs vs. Bucknell). Spinoso flirted with a triple-double December 2 vs. La Salle with 17 points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

4 - Non-conference opponents who were ranked in the AP Top 25 poll at the time Penn played them: Villanova (#21 on November 13), Kentucky (#16 on December 9), Houston (#3 on December 30) and Auburn (#25 on January 2). The last time Penn played four non-conference games against ranked opponents was 1994-95.

4 - Overtime games played by Penn already this season. Only three teams in program history have played more: 1983-84 (6), 2010-11 (5), 2018-19 (5).

4 - 20-point games racked up by Perkins already this season; the last freshman with that many games was Jordan Dingle, who had five in 2019-20.

6 - Minutes played by senior Clark Slajchert before he injured his ankle in last Saturday's loss at No. 3 Houston; he sat out Penn's game at Auburn on Tuesday night.

8 - Games in which Brown has hit at least three 3-point shots; he has hit four treys five times and currently leads the Ivy League in 3FG per game (3.0).

9 - Penn players with at least one double-figure scoring game this season.

33 - Of senior Andrew Laczkowski's 51 rebounds this season, 33 of them (64.7 percent) have come on the offensive glass.

39.0 - Penn's 3-point FG percentage this season, tops among Ivy League teams; the Quakers have hit double figures in 3FG makes seven times this season including six of the last eight contests.

93 - Three-point baskets made by Penn over its last eight games (11.6 per game); the Quakers—whose 10.0 3FG per game is second among Ivy teams behind Princeton (10.5)—have reached double digits in six of those contests and had nine treys in another.
