PHILADELPHIA – The nationally ranked University of Pennsylvania fencing teams had a stellar outing to open the Philadelphia Invitational on Saturday in the Tse Center, winning 12 combined bouts.
The #7 women tore through all seven rounds today, winning all seven bouts, including ranked wins over #9 Duke, #10 Cornell, and ranked division III programs #1 NYU and #8 Haverford.
The #7 men's team had a solid day on the piste, winning five total bouts, including a ranked win over #10 UC San Diego.

The Quakers hit the piste on Sunday to complete the Philadelphia Invitational. The first mat is scheduled for 9:45 a.m., with the men taking on Drew and the women battling Ohio State.
