#20 Wrestling Competes Twice Over the Weekend; Visits #17 Lehigh (Fri), Hosts Stanford (Sun)

PHILADELPHIA – The #20 University of Pennsylvania has a busy weekend of competition, opening EIWA action at instate rival Lehigh on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and then wrapping up the week in The Palestra on Sunday for a noon dual with Stanford.

Last Time on the Mat
Penn won its first dual of the season last Friday, downing North Carolina in Chapel Hill 26-10. Max Gallagher (125), Michael Colaiocco, Kelly Dunnigan (149), Lucas Revano (157), Kaya Sement (165), Nick Incontrera (174), and Maximus Hale (184) took their bouts to give the Quakers their sixth straight win over the Tar Heels. Dunnigan made his season debut in duals against North Carolina, sweetening the start with a victory. Hale and Incontrera's perfect records are still going strong after their battles as both moved into 3-0 in duals with the wins.
 
Quakers in the Rankings
Six Quakers have maintained their hold on the top 25 of the FloWrestling and Intermat rankings this week. #7 Incontrera (174) leads the Red and Blue after jumping multiple spots in the rankings from last week after moving to 3-0 in dual action. Incontrera is followed by #10 Colaiocco (133), #13 CJ Composto (141), #17 Hale (184), #24 Revano (157), and #24 Cole Urbas, who rounds out Penn's presence in the rankings.
 
Mountain Hawks in the Rankings
#17 Lehigh hosts the Quakers with seven Mountain Hawks ranked in the top 25 of their weight classes, led by the top-ranked wrestler at 133, Ryan Crookham (#1). #2 Luke Stanich (125), #7 Michael Beard (197), #8 Nathan Taylor (285), #13 Malyke Hines (141), and #23 Max Brignola (157) account for the other Mountain Hawks nationally ranked heading into Friday's dual.
 
Cardinal in the Rankings
Stanford travels to the City of Brotherly Love with five grapplers nationally ranked, with #11 Daniel Cardenas (157) leading the team. #12 Nico Provo (125), #17 Nick Stemmet (197), #21 Jaden Abas (149), and #21 Lorenzo Norman (174) even out the other Cardinal who are ranked in the top-22 of their weight classes this week.
