#20 Wrestling Opens Two-Meet Road Stretch on Friday at North Carolina

PHILADELPHIA – The #20 University of Pennsylvania wrestling team opens a two-meet road swing this week, traveling to North Carolina on Friday for a 7 p.m. dual inside Carmichael Arena.

Last Time Out
Penn fought hard till the end in last Saturday's top 20 clash in Philadelphia, with Lucas Revano (157), Kaya Sement (165), Nick Incontrera (174), and Maximus Hale taking their bouts against Rutgers in the 22-14 contest. Revano and Sement grabbed their first dual wins of the season against the Scarlet Knights, with Sement's being the first dual win of his Penn career. Juniors Hale and Incontrera moved to 2-0 in duals, with both of their wins coming from Big Ten battles.
 
F&M Open Champion 
Freshman Jude Swisher (157) led the charge at the Franklin and Marshall Open last Friday, picking up five straight victories to land his first individual title in his collegiate career. Sophomore Kelly Dunnigan (149) followed Swisher in second place, freshman Martin Cosgrove (197) finished in sixth, and sophomores Hunter Gandy (149) and Sean Seefeldt (14) both finished in eighth to even out the Red and Blue in the top ten at the open.
 
Quakers in the Rankings
Eight Quakers have held their spots in the top 35 of the FloWrestling and Intermat rankings this week, with #10 Michael Colaiocco (133) leading the Red and Blue. Colaiocco is followed by #11 Incontrera (174), #12 CJ Composto (141), #17 Hale (184), #25 Revano (157), #25 Cole Urbas (197), #33 Max Gallagher (125), and #33 John Stout (285) round out Penn's presence in the rankings.
 
Tar Heels in the Rankings
Nationally ranked North Carolina has five grapplers ranked in the top 25 of their weights going into Friday's meeting, with #5 Lachlan McNeil (141) leading the team in the rankings. #18 Max Shaw (197), #20 Gavin Kane (184),  #25 Spencer Moore (125), and #31 Jayden Scott account for the other four Tar Heels ranked.
