Gallo, Smith, and Urata Head to the ITA All-American Championships

PHILADELPHIA – Iris Gallo, Gavriella Smith, and Maya Urata are on the road this weekend for the University of Pennsylvania women's tennis as they head to Cary, N.C., for the ITA All-American Championships hosted by Cary Tennis Park, Duke, North Carolina, and NC State starting on Saturday.

Smith was selected to represent Penn in the singles, while Gallo and Urata will compete in the doubles.

Senior Smith opened the 2023 fall campaign with a 4-0 sweep at the Penn Invitational. She also grabbed a Power 5 victory over Anastasia Sysoeva of Syracuse during the Cissie Leary Invitational last weekend.

Gallo and Urata most recently won a doubles matchup against Grace Schumacher and Melisa Senli of South Florida at the Cissie Leary Invitational.
