How It Happened
Penn had plenty of looks in the first half, including four in the first quarter.

Kuzyk nearly got on the board in the first frame off the feed from Courtney Kenah, but the Columbia keeper knocked it away.

Nearing the end of the first half the teams traded corner attempts with the first chance belonging to the Lions.

Wollaert was able to make two key saves to keep the game scoreless nearing the end of the half.

The Quakers then had their chance, but the attempt was blocked, keeping both sides scoreless.

With just over two minutes remaining in the third quarter Kuzyk rifled one in near corner, giving the Quakers the 1-0 lead and scoring off of the penalty corner.

As the end of the fourth quarter was approaching Penn delivered the knockout punch on yet another corner opportunity. Loozen was there to finish on the redirect and squeeze it past the Lions keeper.

Even with last-second attempts from the Lions in removing their goalie to put more scorers on the field, the Quakers defense held on to pick up the win.
