Meredith Schamun’s Contract Renewed As Head Volleyball Coach

PHILADELPHIA – The Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics at the University of Pennsylvania has announced the multi-year contract renewal of head volleyball coach Meredith Schamun.

"We are excited about extending Meredith's contract at Penn," Alanna Shanahan, the T. Gibbs Kane Jr. W'69 Director of Athletics and Recreation said. "The team culture and recent recruiting classes give me confidence that the future of Penn volleyball is bright under Meredith's leadership. She is a strong leader for our student-athletes and I look forward to the team's progress on the court this year and in the years ahead."

"I am truly honored for the opportunity to lead Penn volleyball to greater heights in the Ivy League," Schamun said. "It is a privilege to be on this journey toward success with our student-athletes. I want to thank Alanna Shanahan for her commitment to our future. To the dedicated alumni, donors, and fans—your continued support and encouragement mean the world to all of us. I am thrilled to continue at Penn, a place I have come to call home!"
