OSPREY, Fla. – The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team finished the first day at the Harvard Invitational. The two-day, 54-hole event will conclude Sunday at The Oaks Club, a par-72 layout.
 
Penn shot 307 in Saturday's first round but came back with the lowest team score in the second round at 294. That left the Quakers at 25-over-par 601 for the day and sixth in a field of eight teams. Lynn holds the team lead, shooting a combined 584 on the day which had the Fighting Knights three shots ahead of Dartmouth (587) and four ahead of host Harvard (588).

Natalie Cao was Penn's low scorer on Saturday, shooting a 1-over-par 73 in the morning and following up with a 1-under-par 71—the low round by a Quaker player all day—to finish the day at even-par 144. That left her tied for fourth in a field of 46 golfers who finished the day.
 
Susan Xiao had an even-par 72 in Saturday's second round and ended the day at 3-over-par 147 to put her tied for 17th in the field. Selina Li scored in both rounds on Saturday and ended the day at 8-over-par 152, while Julie Shin shot 12-over-par 156 and Bridget O'Keefe carded a 14-over-par 158.
 
Lynn's Maria Hoyos is the individual leader after Saturday's play; she shot a pair of 69s to finish the day at 6-under-par 138. That had her five shots ahead of Rollins' Katharina Hesse and Dartmouth's Sophie Thai.
