GREENWICH, Conn. – The University of Pennsylvania men's golf team made another move up the leaderboard on Sunday at the Ivy League Championships, moving past Harvard to finish fifth in the seven-team field. The three-day, 54-hole event was played on the par-72 course at The Stanwich Club.

Penn shot 298 for the second straight day, and for the second straight day that was tied for the third-best team score in the field. Overall, the Quakers ended the Championships with a 44-over-par score of 908 to finish six strokes behind fourth-place Yale (902) but two ahead of the Crimson (910). Princeton was the team champion, scoring a team-low 290 on Sunday and ending the weekend at 16-over-par 880. That was a good 18 strokes ahead of second-place Columbia, which carded a team 295 on Sunday to finish with an 898 team score.
Senior
Mark Haghani and sophomore
John Richardson both squeezed into second-team All-Ivy honors, each of them shooting 1-over-par 73 on Sunday to end the tournament at 9-over-par 225. That left the duo part of a three-player group that tied for tenth overall. Sophomore
George Roessler carded a 77 on Sunday and ended the weekend tied for 13th at 11-over-par 227, and he led the field with 39 pars on the weekend. (Richardson had 35 pars, tied with three other golfers for second behind Roessler in that category.)
Jimin Jung also shot a 77 on Sunday to finish the Championships at 234.
Ben Scott scored for Penn on Sunday with his final-round 75, and he moved eight places up the individual board with his three-round 235.
Riccardo Fantinelli was the individual medalist this weekend. The Princeton golfer shot a 3-under-par 69 in Sunday's final round and ended the weekend at 5-under-par 211. That left him four shots clear of the field, as Harvard's Brian Ma was second at 1-under-par 215.
