PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania women's tennis team concludes its season this weekend with a pair of Ivy League matches in the New England area. The Quakers will open the weekend at Harvard on Saturday and close out the weekend at Dartmouth on Sunday. First serve for both matches is set for 1 p.m.

The Quakers are coming off a pair of 4-0 home losses to Yale and Brown last weekend.
Gavriella Smith and
Claire Zhang opened the match with a 6-1 doubles victory but that was all the Quakers managed as Yale won the next two doubles matches and the finished off the match with three singles victories. Against Brown,
Eileen Wang won the first set against Vivian Miller, but fell 6-2 in the second set in a match that was abandoned. Brown picked up singles victories at #3, #4, and #5 to complete the 4-0 sweep.
Previewing the opponents
Harvard is 11-3 overall and 3-2 in Ivy League play following a 4-0 win at Cornell on Saturday and a 4-3 loss at Columbia on Sunday. On Saturday, Sophia Ho and Maxi Duncan defeated Cornell's Lan Mi and Lauren Stein (7-6). Angel You and Charlotte Owensby defeated Emma Baker and Gia Graziano to clinch the doubles point for the Crimson. You, Iveta Daujotaite, and Sany Gawande completed the sweep with singles wins. For second time on the weekend, the Crimson won the doubles point as Ho and Duncan defeating Rachele Rimondini and Shhivani Amineni (6-1) and You and Owensby won 6-4 to clinch the doubles point. Columbia rebounded for four singles victories at #1, #2, #5, and #6 to take the match 4-3.
Dartmouth is 4-13 and enters the weekend on a five-match losing streak following losses at Columbia on Saturday and at Cornell on Sunday. The Lions swept the Big Green opening the match with a doubles victory at #1 and #3. Columbia won three singles matches in three straight sets to complete the victory. On Sunday, Dartmouth was able to win one doubles matchup, but only after Cornell clinched both points with wins at #1 and #3 doubles. The Big Green's only match point came from Ujvala Jupalli's 6-3 and 6-3 victory at #4 singles while Cornell clinched the rest of the points with singles victories at #1, #2, and #3.
